Motherboard: Sunset's Dawn
A downloadable game for Windows
Motherboard: Sunset's Dawn
In the middle of an invasion by hostile fire creatures, Ashley must venture into a shopping centre to collect items for survival.
Control Complexity
This game was developed for my master's project and includes a feature which allows the player to switch between the number of buttons needed to play. The game refers to this as the Control Complexity and can make it accessible for players with lesser experience with platformers.
Upon starting the game, you can select a control complexity that suits you. For players already familiar with a controller and platforming games as a genre, the most complex layout is best. For players new to the world of platformers, the least complex layout is best.
Story
The game follows the story of Ashley and how they reacted to the apocalyptic event of fire raining from the sky. Avoiding the rain, she seeks shelter in the town's shopping centre where she discovers the hydrogen-based life forms made of fire, the Flares.
Avoid getting caught, explore the abandoned mall, find resources, and stay alive.
